Disaster Heroes is proud to partner with the World Trade Center Memorial Oak Project and FDNY's Friends of Firefighters to help find permanent homes for 40+ memorial oak saplings the week of September 11, 2019.
The World Trade Center Oak Project raised acorns collected from the oak trees surrounding the September 11 Memorial in New York City in 2017. The 43 oak saplings were raised in Michigan and are being donated and delivered to survivors, survivor families, first response and various other organizations as 'living memorials' throughout NYC and the East Coast.
